Alaback Design Associates provided site planning and detailed design for the sculpture / water feature at 71st Street and Riverside Drive. Conceptual designs were prepared that integrated a natural boulder water feature with a new bronze sculpture. This landmark feature in River Parks included a large waterfall to create dynamic views for pedestrians and automobiles. The water feature is enhanced by large bronze sculptures of a black bear and her three cubs, with a decorative plaza to provide close interaction for park users. Cost estimates, perspectives and detailed construction plans were completed to assist with funding and implementation. BOK Plaza has become a popular destination in Tulsa that is frequently photographed.
